Application / Software Support Specialist


Global Software House seeks an Application / Software Support Specialist to provide support to a clue-chip client base.

In order to apply, it is essential that you have previous experience providing technical telephone support for Windows-based software applications. From a technical perspective, you will have strong Windows desktop / server skills, good networking experience (including TCP/IP) and ideally some exposure to SQL (or Oracle) Servers. It is also imperative that you possess excellent problem resolution skills. Degree level education is also pre-requisite.

In terms of personality, you must have the ability to work within a pressurised support environment, whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer service.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Degree educated, plus commerical IT Support experience
* Support of Windows-based applications
* Experience of SQL Server and ideally experience of Transact SQL (T-SQL)
* Virtualisation knowledge (particularly VMWare) a plus
* Knowledge of IIS and languages such as HTML would be highly advantageous
* First-class communication skills with strong client liaison abilities
